I’m a Physical Therapist Assistant, Gyrotonic Trainer, Pilates Instructor, anatomy nerd…overall big fan of movement.
Movement is my motivator, my creative outlet, my grounding, and generally when I do my best thinking. Long walks, dancing, midday stretching, circuit training…you name it, I’ll try it!
Working in the physical therapy field has allowed me to share and expand my passion for movement with a wide array of conditions and experience the tremendous difference that movement can make in a person’s life and overall health.
I have a spent the last decade gaining a diverse therapy background and experience in geriatric, neurological, pediatric, pelvic floor, post-surgical, acute care, aquatic, sensory integration, lymphatic, oncology, cardiac rehabilitation; and continually learning more.
After using Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise for my personal physical rehabilitation, I was drawn to the seamless way that both modalities foster a true mind-body connection and can be tailored towards any demographic. And that’s how SOL Movement Center was born.
My personal and professional philosophy that I bring into my movement sessions is that in order to heal, one needs to cultivate a personal relationship with their own body. My goal with each of my clients is to not only assist them in reaching their movement goals, but to also learn to work with their body, not against it.
